seat cover suggestions?
Hey guys, I've been looking for a set of high quality seatcovers for my '94 4runner. I'm not sure if I like the looks of the wet okoles, so if anyone knows of a company that sells a good factory looking seatcover, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

If ya want the factory look. the dealer has OEM cover replacements. I bought some covers for the wifes Rav4 $209.88 front $209.88 back= OH ลลลล I paid over 400.00 in seat covers?:eeek: from Coverking through Advance Auto Parts. They are Neophrene like Wet Okles, and they also have other materials to choose from.
Here is a link http://www.coverking.com/customseatcovers.html I had a set of Wet Okoles in my civic for 4 years and I have to say that has been the best investment ever! I like the neophrene because it's easy to clean; and down here in Florida it can rain anytime and often does without notice LOCKnGO Oh yeah i forgot these guys http://www.katzkin.com/05/FC/mainFS.html |
I got Wet Okoles and wasn't too impressed with them. They are holding up OK but one had very weak stitching and broke open while I was installing them.

I picked up some front seat covers for the Runner on Ebay one year ago this month. For the price ($69, $15 shipping), I didn't think they would hold up. However, they are still like new. Several people that have seen the covers thought I had replaced the worn leather from the factory seats. I'll look for some pix I took during the install.
The only downside: to get a tight, factory-like fit, the back and sides of the covers are made of elastic/spandex-type material that is a little lighter in color than the part on which you sit. The seller's Ebay name was iggeeseatcovers. |
try perfomance products they have custom fit covers in both cloth and vinyl. they even have map pockets on the back.

Wiseguy, those almost look factory. Very nice.
|
Hey wiseguy those are really sweet looking covers what are the seat surfaces leather or pleather? aviator
|
Wow, those are really nice. Looks factory.
I have Okoles in the front and am waiting on a set from a member here for the rears. I love 'em though, but the smell of the neoprene the first couple days was pretty rough, but some nice weather and the windows down fixed that. |
Wet Okoles. :great: If you want to really "protect" your seats...if you just want to cover them, go to Walmart. :hillbill:
:guitar: |
Holy Cow, Wiseguy! Those look fantastic! How long have you had them in?
|
Thanks for the comments. The covers are pleather. I am rough on my truck and the seats, yet they've held up great in the 14 months I have had them in the Yota. For $69 + shipping (Ebay), I didn't expect much.
They still look as good as the day I put them in. :rockin: |
the Walmart seat covers in my '86 are water proof..and i've spilt lots of different liquids on them..and they haven't gotte my seats wet yet ;)
however i'm going to be looking for a set of front and rear seat covers for the '92 4runner :) |
