sas shackel angle help
 

taced up my hanger then drilled the wholes for the frame tubes a little bit foward from center under the body mount
it looked like the shackles with no weight had about -10* so i figured with weight it would have about 15*. nope way to much, my hanger is flush originally had it 3/4 foward, if i move it back to 3/4 foward would it make a big impact on the shackle angle?

First glance shackle looked completely flat. Zoomed in and it does look ok.

That looks like an ok shackle angle to me.

Moving the hanger forward will get the angle closer to where you want it.

i think its the angle the pictures at but its a pretty extream angle for just the weight being on it

Looks not to bad to me.... You planning on adding some leaves to those RUF's

i feel like it will it the body mount with a decent amount of flex

"angle" is just a rule of thumb the angle itself doesnt mean Jack. To get the most of a leaf spring pack you need a shackle that will let it fully drop and fully compress to "flat"... ie no inversion. Then place the shackle hanging point at the optimum distance from the forward spring hanger.

Your springs under weight of your front end are nearly flat which is fine. You could actually move your front hangar further back 1/2". A nice vertical shackle at full droop is ideal. But I'd leave it. A little forward swing of the shackle is fine

You gonna run that overload spring? If the shackle hit the mount down the road a set of boomerangs will help.

It wont hit the mount. Its as about far back as it will ever go... spring will invert and pull the shackle back forward

not running the overload spring. basically did this swap in 3 days. next weekend im going to take it all apart and clean it up a bit.
