Rocker Arm adjustment ?'s 22RE

I am planning on doin rocker arm adjustment soon on my 93 pickup, question is, do i just take off the valve cover and go to town, or does the engine need to be at TDC or any other location?

thanks

if you are talking about a valve adjustment, the engine does need to be @ a certain position, not sure what the spec is on the 22re. also you will need the tools to do this correctly, and must really also know what you are doing.... not to sound like a punk, but if you need to ask what location the engine shioould be at, i am not sure you know what you are talking about enough to just pop open the valve cover and adjsut things... you need a feeler guage as well... an fsm, or a haynes manual has the adjustment procedure in it for the valves and are easy enough to fine....

looking at your signature, if you did that stuff on your 87, then you do know what you are talking about... however i still say get a haynes manual so you have the info in hardcopy in front of you for reference.....

thanks, the reason im asking because iw as confused when i read this on 4x4 --wire "Do this for the first set of valves and turn the harmonic balancer 360 degrees. This will move the first cylinder from the compression stroke to the exhaust stroke"

Yep TDC for half the valves, then one engine rotation for the other half:
