Required lift

I have a 1995 Toyota 4Runner, first one that I have ever owned. I bought bilstien shocks 5100 series and it looks like I need a lift, right now it is basically stock with 33" tires on it. What kind of lift would be good? I don't want anything over the top.

Thank you for the help in advance,
James

Are your tires Rubbing ??

Just why do you feel you need a lift ??

Rest of the 4Runner squared away and up to speed ??

Moog "load leveler" coils in the back, ball joint spacers in the front, then adjust down the torsion bars to level it with the back. Then 2 inch body lift to clear the tires. Best and cheapest way to go with 86-95 IFS. You get more front travel because of the ball joint spacers, and you aren't running your torsion bars cranked, so your CVs are happy and the ride is still nice.

basically my son bought shocks that are to tall, and I don't want to waste them, also the steering is a little loose so I was going to fix that all at the same time.
