Replaced brakes/rotors...now there's a clacking noise on driver's side...
I just got done replacing my brakes and rotors on the 4runner.
Aside from a little more bleeding, it stops a little bit better and there's no more pulsating when braking now that the rotors are new.
Anyways, I noticed there's a sort of clacking noise coming from the driver's side now. Doesn't become apparent until around 40mph.
I believe I put everything back together correctly. I repacked and regreased all of the wheel bearings and seals.
Any idea what this could be?

Does it only rattle when you use the brakes? Im focused that this does not happen until you reach 40mph. Sound more like something is loose that gets blown around as you drive faster. Doesnt seem related to the brake job you did.
I had the same problem, but it was when I used the brakes. Turns out it was the pads were slapping against the caliper. This only occured as I pressed the brakes.

I am wondering if it could have anything to do with that center bolt right behind the locking hub cover? I tightened it down as best as I could but the axles kept on spinning as well. So I don't know how to take care of that.

Well, I still can't figure it out. I noticed that when I go over 50mph the car feels like its vibrating now when I hit the brakes. It goes away once I stop and everything is normal again until I get up to 40mph.
Anyone have any ideas at all...I am going to recheck the wheel bearings and see if they are seated correctly....but other than that I am all out of ideas.
