Removing rear quarter glass + exterior window trim?
Hi All,
I am getting ready to finally paint my truck and was wondering how the rear quarter glass is attached on a '95 4Runner as well as how the exterior window trim is applied? My FSM isn't too clear on either and I have read that for some models the rear quarter glass is glued while others it is bolted in.
My research leads me to believe the rear quarter glass is removed by taking out bolts from the inside after removing the plastic panels.
As for the exterior window trim it looks like it is glued on but I'm not sure. I was gonna pick up some 3M Window Weld to stick it all back on. I don't want to start ripping it off if I can't replace it or reuse it.
Any help would be appreciated!

It's attached from the inside, once you get in there and get the interior panels off it should be come apparent. You'll likely need a heat gun to loosen the adhesive, you'll need the draw knife like the book says also, just be carefull to not heat shock the glass.
All glass removal is best done on a hot day in the warmest enviroment you can get of course.
And I'm pretty sure the outside trim will/can stay with the window.
