Recomend me 4x4 stores in LA, please...
Hi Folks !!!
First days in October (3th - 11th) I will be doing a surgeon master in UCLA University.
I know LA is a very big city, so I would like to visit some nice 4x4 accesories stores, not very far from the university. Also I will not have much free time, but as soon as I can escape , I would like to visit some stores and maybe pick-up some autogift ...
Remember I come from Spain, and your stores are like Disney stores for me !!!
So any advice would be very preciated !!!
Cheers

Four Wheel Parts in Compton is their corporate headquarters and warehouse, so should be a big store. Compton is about 25 miles from UCLA. There's a smaller, local 4 Wheel Parts in Van Nuys, a mere 8 miles or so from UCLA. Also in Van Nuys is Performance Products, now owned by 4 Wheel Parts, but run as a separate entity. Not much to see there, but they have a separate Toyota Truck catalog.(they have most Bilstein shocks, etc in stock.) To see Genuwine American monster-type street trucks(most of which would tip over on the slightest off-camber sidehill IMO), try Off Road Unlimited in Burbank, a mere 7 miles or so from Van Nuys. Also, if you're interested in Land Cruisers, you must visit Specter Off Road(SOR.com) in Chatsworth, a mere 8 miles or so from Van Nuys. That Conejo Off Road might be good, but I haven't been there. Thousand Oaks is probably about 30-40 miles from UCLA. Be sure to ask knowledgable locals about the famous L.A. traffic--at certain times, and in certain travel directions, you can drive anywhere unimpeded, at other times and locations you don't wanna go anywhere till tomorrow.
