Rebuilding Brake Cylinders
I had leaky rear brake cylinders always causing my brake fluid resevior to deplete after a few days. I rebuilt them with a kit from Advance Auto Parts, I was wondering what luck you guys have had with these rebuild kits?? Thanks!

I tried it a couple of times years ago, unsuccessfully both times. Now I just buy new or rebuilt, they're cheap enough that it's not worth trying to rebuild them yourself.

because i can rebuild 2 of them for the price of one new one. best bet is to get a brake cylinder hone, it'll clean out the gunk inside that'll ruin your new seals.

Yes, well it was only 7 bucks for 2 repair kits already had the brake cylinder hone, honed it rebuilt it, so far i still have to bleed the brake lines some more, kinda at a stand still my dads been real caught up at work. Even if it doesn't work i still gained some knowledge and loss 7 bucks!
