R151 For $750, But Is It An R151
Found this listing on ebay, and to my knowledge, Toyota put the R151 in 86-87 vehicles.
This guy swears it is an R151.
See what you think.
Go to this link, and then do a in store search using R151.

Looks like one to me, but im no expert...his reviews are good too though!! The real question is: Is that a picture of the transmission he is going to send you?

It's probably not an r151 if it came out of a v-6. I'm fairly certain that most of them were in the turbo'd trucks. The main difference between the r150 and r151 is the 1st gear ratio. Ask him what that is. He can check it by spinning the input shaft and counting the revolutions on the output shaft. R150F=3.83 / r151F=4.30, there's a couple of different combos u can run with the R150f's and 151f's so u have to know what ur looking for. He doesn't have the belhousing (r151's had a large round hole in the bottom and bolt up to the 22series motors) and the back 1/2 of the tranny to the transfer case housing is missing too so its hard to tell what it is other than gear ratio. But If it is a REBUILT R151 (out of a turbo 4cyl) with the 4.31 first gear it is worth it because they're a little harder to come by. I picked up 2 R150's for free for my 4 seater beater project and they both work. They're a dime a dozen around here.

If that is the actual case he is selling its is NOT an R151. Its is an R150. The R151 has a rear tailshaft housing that fits a gear driven Tcase. That is NOT it. Its also a fwd shift transmission with two spots for shifters. One for the fwd shift tcase and one for the tranny. That is not one as well.
Its an R150 and not worth much.

I just sent him a note about it as well. He will definitely have a pissed off customer if he ends up shipping that tranny out. It won't bolt to anything Tcase wise in a turbo truck.

I think he just has the designation wrong.
His ad clearly states 89-95 V6

Checked again and it was changed to this.....
