R150 and R151 - what to look for in a used unit?
What are some of the gotchas I should look for in a used R151 or R150 (I hear I can get Marlin's kit and convert it to 4x4 use?)
What about the tcase that came with the R151 - what should I check there?
Thanks!

The R151's are great. lower first gear and 23 spline output to gear driven tcase on the 22rte models. can't beat that setup. the r150'ss had a higher first gear. not as good. I'm looking for another bellhousing for the 4 banger version. My R151 got a hole in it wheeling at night, all the oil drained out and I drove it around 30 mile or so wondering what the whining noise was. next day jb welded the quarter size hole, filled it with fluid again and it still shifts and sounds like new about 6 months later. whining went away.
