questiosn about dropping in my motor
my engine keeps hitting the firewall.
should i pull my tranny
or i was just thinking about pulling my crossmember under my tranny so i can drop the tranny lower while i put the engine on the motor mounts
and then i can align the tranny and then put the cross member back on.
or should i pull the whole tranny
any ideas?

I've done two different engine swaps on the 3.0 and I didn't remove the tranny or crossmember on either one. I'm not sure what you are doing wrong, but I didn't have any problem with the engine hitting the firewall at all. I'm guessing that the engine is hanging wrong on the hoist, but it is just a guess.

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio - Amelia is the exact place. There is no one else on this site from where I am. Seems like everyone is from Cali or Washington. I guess I need to move.
