Putting 16 inch tires on 92 pickup 4wd

Really like f5 rims, would like to put on truck but only come in 16 inch. I should be able to replace my 31 1050 15 tire with 265 70 16's correct? I know thats stock tacoma size, but my current wheels have wider backspace so i get about 1.5 inches outside fender.I think the f5 would tuck it up under fender better. Please chime in with any advice or pitfalls before i pull the 1300 buck trigger. Thanks

I have 265-70-16's on stock tacoma steel wheels, and had to add flares ....

go for 265/75R16 they are going to be closer in size to the 31x10.50R15 you have on there now. if youre going to spend that much, might as well go as big as you can.
