product of bed swap.

Well, I got a topper for the truck and I think it turned out ok. I miss the lines of the 88 bed but I am happy with the way it turned out. Anyuway, if anyone is ever wondering what a 94 bed looks like on a 88 here it is. If anyone is thinking about doing it, I would lean you towards finding a 88 bed or maybe throwing down the xtra money for a fiberglass bed. But for what I paid, it works. I also bed lined it using rustoleum liner. I have to say it is holding up well for an inexpensive product. I brushed mine on and it holds. I think prep is the key to making it stick good. Oh yeah, the bra is a vintage 80's bra I found on e-bay. Hand painted the Toyota on the back.

Thanks, I'm happy with it. I rattle canned the bed. I agree it would look alot better if the paint matched. I have two new front fenders I am waiting to put on when I spray the entire truck. I am going to set up a spray tent next spring and have a buddy who knows what he is doing help me with a real paint job. I have always wanted a blue toyota. I love that early 80's blue toyota used. I am also looking into some fender flares that might help bring the wheel well lines closer to matching. I still wish I was able to find a 88 bed, but it does work, and I still get the "you want to sell that" at the pumps, so I guess it doesn't look to bad. If my bed was salvagable I would have gone with Cori's side panels but my whole bed was looking pretty ugly.

Oh yeah, if anyone needs the inside panels for a 88 bed and a complete tailgate, let me know. The bed is getting cut up and thrown on the curb. You can have the panels (no rust and good shape) and the tailgate ( scratched and dinged, one small spot of rust). I live in Lower Bucks PA, pick up only.
