uh... I put the original ND coil in, the one I took out when I put the MSD Blaster 2 in. The MSD coil worked 'fine' for about a year or so.
I'm a pack-rat, so to speak, so I didn't throw out the original one and had it to put back in. Changing the coil was more of an "I wonder" type of thing more than an "I need to" thing.
I never throw anything away until I know I won't need it, and I always keep a working spare. :) I've probably got somewhere in the neighborhood of 36 spark plugs floating around my various tool boxes (one for the celica, one for the 91, one for the 88, one for the 72 firebird) and a set of coil wires for each vehicle too.
The last ignition coil I bought was the MSD Blaster for the 91, about 4 years ago, which was replaced about 3 years ago.

Of the brands you mentioned, I would avoid the Niehoff -they're real cheap parts. Duralast, probably Chinese, Borg Warner I don't know. I would probably take a chance on the Standard Motor. It's a craps shoot with any of them other than Denso. You also might take a look at Napa's offerings. Maybe the one that offers you a lifetime warranty is the one to go with.
