Power Steering Issue Help!
 

First post, I'm really going crazy over here I would love some suggestions. I came home this winter to my 1994 toyota pickup 4wd and started it to find out the power steering was gone. Old pump was frothing fluid out the cap so I went ahead and swapped the pump. New pump in, still no power steering. Went back to autozone got another pump thinking the new pump was bad from the start. 2nd pump in, still no power. I'm stumped now and cannot figure out what could be the problem. Anyone ever run into this??

I raise the tires off of the ground and turn it from stop to stop several times to bleed the air out. Have you tried that yet? It takes several times.

Yes bleed it for about an hour before I turned it on, got all the air out of the system

Are the lines clogged by chance? Other then that I am not sure what could cause it. You are using Auto Trany Fluid? I have seen others use power steering fluid and that is a no-no on these trucks.

I feel like it has to be clogged lines at this point, not sure how I can check that

You will probably need to pull the grill to get to the cooler, then remove each hose at a time and clean each one a section at a time is how I would do it. If the problem is in the gear box, I dont know how to check it.

The pressure test would be diagnostic, but you probably don't have that sort of instrument.
