Possibly the death of my 3.0

Well, i've had a pretty slow oil leak for a few months and I thought it might be the rear main seal, but it looks like it really was. Yesterday I noticed my oil pressure was pretty low so I went and put some in before I went inside for the night...come back out the next morning and there's a puddle of oil about 3 square feet on the ground.
Then I made some bad decisions and drove it a little, put some more oil in as I was going to drive it down to my mechanic to drop it off. Well there wasnt even any oil showing up on the dipstick so i put in 3 quarts before I even turned it on, started driving and noticed it was struggling. I mean it wasn't shaking or anything, it just seemed like it was having a hard time getting above 2250 rpms. So I figured maybe i put another quart in just to make sure because i just wanted to get it down to the mechanic asap. Thats when it started smoking like crazy out the tail pipe (clouds of white smoke mostly when i hit the accelerator). Then I just parked it and oil was coming out faster than I've ever seen. So its currently sitting in a parking lot at the grocery store down the street. Lets hear a diagnosis...am i screwed on this or what?

you deciding to drive it proally was what ruined you, that sounds alot like what happened when my engine burned its self out of oil, but then again i have a 22re. im guessing that it ran out of oil and thats why it was strugling and being out of oil it messed up pistons/rings or something along those lines

call me an idiot and throw me in the hole.
i'll just say its the exact opposite of what you said notanymore. i definitely had too much oil in there..i'm not gonna say how much, but i drained out enough to where I was in the right range and the smoking is pretty much stopped. i'm guessing it'll have to all burn out of the system, which still isn't good but hey i'm just glad its not smokin like bonfire anymore.
