Plugs

Need help. Was replacing plugs on my 92 3.0 all went well till I got to passenger side rear plug. I can not for the life of me get the angle right. Any suggestions or advice appreciated

That's the one you need x-ray vision for. :jk:

The only advice I have is use a small piece of hose as an extension.

Once you do it a dozen times or so, it gets a little easier. Not much though.

There is a sort of filter on the firewall above the wheel well I was thinking of removing to get the angle

That might work.

Too many hoses in the way. The only thing I can think of is that filter thing.

Are you having difficulty getting the socket on to remove the old one, or having difficulty getting the new one started in the threads. If it's the first, a wobble extension or a u-joint in your socket extension will help. If it's the 2nd, MudHippy's advice to put a short piece of vacuum tubing (actually, I think I used a piece of fuel line hose) on the plug and use that to get it started might be helpful. Kind of works like a flexible coupling.
