performance stats.

i am starting this thread so people can post there performance numbers on there vehicles. such as 0-60 times, quarter mile times and horse power ratings. we need real numbers from people who have tested there vehicles. but if you do post your times please tell all mods done to vehicle. this should help the 3.0 vs. 3.4 argument.

mr toytech Mar 6, 2008 06:22 PM

so i will start. i have a 93 truck w/ the 3.0. i have done headers and custom exhaust. i also made my own isr. mod from a k&n cold air intake.i also have a k&n drop in air filter. today i hooked up my g- tech meter in my truck for the first time and ran a quater mile run. the first run i ran a 18.8 run. the second time i ran a 18.6 with a 0-60 of 11sec. trap speed was 76 miles per hour. i think i can do better with a few more runs. so lets see some other peoples numbers!! by the way this is with oversized tires 265 70 16 or (31)inch. and stock 430 gears.

I have a set of dyno runs (4cyl) here:

18.14@76mph at 5800ft above sea level;we lose a little over a second in the 1/4 up here with most NA vehicles.

Open deckplate but I am running 32" D load rated tires which hurt me just a little bit along with my automatic tranny.

It is still hard to compare the 3.0 vs a 3.4 since they also come in both PUs and 4Runners but from just my numbers the 3.0 has a ways and mods to go to catch up to a stock 3.4.

Oh wait this isnt LS1GTO.com!! Whoops! :D

As far as the 4runner, I have no idea...:(

thefatkid Mar 11, 2008 07:31 PM

I cant find my time slip from Bandimere but the total time was a 15.8 at 84mph. 1990 4runner with a 3.4l supercharged, 4.56 gears with 32" muds. Only a FMU for fuel mods. This summer will be slower due to bigger tires and winch bumper, 4700lbs of fat truck.

surely someone has some more info to contibute.

dannomite Aug 31, 2008 09:03 PM

sorry dude. I don't think most of us Yota types have monthly dyno runs in our schedules, or the opportunity to go out and do a lot of drag racing. I am more interested in spending my weekends exploring the back country of northern BC.

stumpjumper Aug 31, 2008 09:37 PM

o to 60 never thaught of my runner as a race car

mr toytech Sep 2, 2008 03:57 PM

as you can tell by the original post it was meant to see the difference between the 3.0 and the 3.4 engine swaps. so if you have no usefull info to post well, dont post.

I've got a 22re, I am passed by wildlife and and cyclists on the highway. Performance enough for you?

gte718p Sep 2, 2008 05:02 PM

0-60 yes I can do that if the hill is big enough and there is a tail wind. 22RE so mine doesn't count

InternetRoadkill Sep 2, 2008 06:31 PM

I ran a 17sec 0-60 with a 22RE using my MAF conversion.

Did the larger MAF actually make much of a difference? This is the '83 Supra/ Cressida MAF?
