part number for 92 22re wiring harness?

Hey guys,
in trying to find the right wiring harness, I'm going to need the part number. Does anyone have access to a part number for a 1992 toyota 4x4 22RE extra-cab manual transmission engine stub wiring harness? It's the section of harness that plugs into the ECU and goes to the EFI and the engine.
This would make my world much easier right now, would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

The VIN# is: JT4RN13PXN6043854

My best guess is 82121-35110, but you'll absolutely need your VIN to narrow it down.

Last I heard, Toyota did not stock replacement wiring harnesses, at least for our trucks. My guess is that they are a) so expensive and b) require so much labor to pull out and replace, that the dealers repaired rather than replaced harnesses.

But you don't need to go by my rumor; just call the dealer and ask.

Vin#...

Thanks Wyoming. The VIN# is: JT4RN13PXN6043854. I've tried the local dealers here, and they can't give me any parts numbers for a vehicle that old. I was surprised.

And yes, Wyoming, the engine harness. There are at least 3 sections of harness though, and I've heard the one I need referred to as the "engine stub" wiring harness. Don't know if that's a correct name for it. It's the section that plugs into the ECU, goes into the engine compartment and plugs to the EFI and the engine.
I also have checked quite a bit and don't think dealers will carry this part. I found a used one though a couple states away, and we just need to verify it with a part number.

Thanks

I have changed out several harnesses. I may have seen one or two with the same number. From my experience it depends on what options it came with and that is for the main harness that runs across the dash and down both fenders.

The 2nd harness that you may be talking about is the injector harness.

The 3rd is the Fuse box harness that goes to the headlights and over to the drivers fender.

A 4th harness is the tail light and fuel tank built all into one.

You might want to check out Mightymouse on here, JBM715, The 4runner house in Texas or try posting a Want to Buy.

The part number is located on a white tag just above the steering column. You will need to remove speedometer cluster to see which one you have to get the exact one and even then it can still be hard to see sometimes.

Dealers stock only the most common used parts our old vehicles are for the most special order
Being able to get parts overnight from the nearest Toyota Distribution Center why tie up a lot of inventory in unused parts.

Just what is wrong with your harness???

It pays to be on a first name basis with the parts people and the service manger Then a 20 year relationship does not hurt.

The section that plugs into the ECU. Which would be which one? PNC 82121(part # 82121-35170)?

Looks like you can still find that one new(for a hefty price).

You should post your model# (not VIN) and production date.
With that, a part number can be determined.
