Looking for cruise control & transmission related information

Well I started a thread asking who had one, after searching three pages of Google powered search results, and the website offered me this thread.

Could someone provide me the requested pages?

Hey there CO_94_PU, I have a a copy of the factory manual for 85 trucks/4runners. If you tell me exactly what you are looking for I'll try and post up the relevant pages.

Are you trying to troubleshoot an issue with the cruise control, or are you looking for specifications? There are 30 pages on the cruise control system in the FSM...

Here I'll narrow it down even further I guess but I'd rather just have the full "she-bang"..

At what minimum speed and gear combination must the vehicle be at before the cruise control computer will activate.

2nd? 3rd? Does it need to be in lockup? What about overdrive?

Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. I don't have a copy of the owners manual. However, the minimum speed before the cruise control can be activated is 21mph, according to the troubleshooting section in the FSM.

i read nothing that said that specifically in the 88, quote it! unless you're reading into the speed sensor tests?

Ah, I see that bit now.

88 has.
speed can be set below about 40 km/h (25 mph).

Cruise control will not disengage even about 40 km/h (25 mph).

A short period after the O/D cut, (Approx. within 14 seconds) the O/D will resume.
85 has
Speed can be set below 33 km/h (21 mph)

Cruise control will not disengage even below 33 km/h (21 mph)
Still interested in what the owner's manual says, and I guess now I'm looking for the same table from an 86 FSM. Ugh..

By the way, I don't have any reference (drawings, the only thing I can understand) to the Cruise Control in this manual.

I was expecting an index at the front so I could ask for specific pages, it has an appendix maybe?

My German is very poor, but my cousins and a few friends are fluent, worst case I'm planning to run it past Google translate.

I'm not sure if it would have a CC section, or if it would have had a different set of switches from an American model.. It's a switch in the dash next to the ignition, and controls on the wiper stalk which would have the "twisting" arrows.

Based on the other two info blurbs above it would have some number in the 25-45 km/h range.

If you want to keep attempting to help that's awesome, if not I understand and offer my thanks in any case.

Thank you sir!

Images are low resolution, Adobe app on my tablet doesn't import them well. Too blocky to see. Was thinking to run them thru OCR and make it easy to feed to translation. Oh it occupied me for a few at any rate.

If you want, I can take a high resolution photo of every page, 144 total.
This is the index:

A few pages more, but nothing about the CC, my 4Runner doesn't have it. Anyway, I have an scan in the garage, I can go for it tomorrow morning (it's 21:10 in here), and scan it. Whatever you prefer.

I should probably not pass up that offer!
Want to go a step further maybe? Snag "Adobe Acrobat" from the play store and it has a "scan" option that will do most of the work of turning your hard copy into a PDF. Then attach the PDF here?

Would save me some leg work for sure. I'll look into the translation

Well I'll be....

Right next to the parking brake, is a manual throttle. So jelly its not even funny, wonder if I can order one of those. It wouldn't hunt the throttle around and waste fuel..

PDF format. You're going to have it tomorrow morning for breakfast, around 8:30am, Colorado local time.
