Opportunity for a GMC donor, What all to take?

Opportunity for a GMC donor, What all to take?
Of course this is before I have even found an old runner, But I am that positive I will be getting one.
Came across a 89 GMC Jimmy for $175.00. Its 4x4 and has the 4.3L v6. It runs but is described as running rough. Transmission wont shift out of first. I was going to rebuild any engine I got reguardless.
So, What would you take? I was thinking the engine, t/case, radiator setup, and computer. I would rather not spend the money on fixing the trans so its useless to me. Is there anything else you would take? Are these stock front and rear ends stronger then a built yotas? any help would be appriciated.

an 89 chevy is going to be IFS, no use in swapping that. Toyota axles are very strong so even if it was a straight axle (converted), they would need to be 3/4 ton or above to make it worth the work.
Get the wiring harness along with the computer. Check out Advance Adapters for their 4.3 conversion kit so you have an idea at the additional expense if you are doing a swap into a Toyota.
It is a $175 truck for a reason, depending on your market it may not be worth time, effort IMO, but with out more particulars (mileage, pictures) hard to say.

Im basically looking at the fact that it i running. That lets me know that all of the small things are working like alternator, starter, radiator and so on.....
The main reason I wanted it was because of the 4.3L and the t/case. I plan to rebuild both so It really doesnt matter the current condition.

The 4.3 and the Tcase would be the keepers. Part out the rear and anything else possible. Thats a great motor! My sister had an 87 4.3 with 279,000 miles and it ran great.
