I just got my '94 tested with the new O2 sensor installed. Emissions (HC, CO, and NOx) dropped dramatically from my last test in 2016, from about 60% of limit to 15% of limit. Watching the O2 sensor with a meter, it is much more snappy and responsive than the old one. Definitely worth doing.

Oh nice!! congratulations!! Thats very valuabel info aobut the O2 sensor being such an improvement by it not being broken, but only more accurate in its readings. Now I can totally see the reason why O2-sensor replacement is part of the regular maintanance interval and not a "replace when broken" issue. Ill keep that in mind for future issues since its basically a 45 bucks and 15 minutes plug and play job with major improvements on the whole system!
Thanks again to everybody and the great community work here!

keep on rolling!!

Its crazy how much a bad O2 sensor can mess with toyota engines.
