Oil pressure gauge how to?

Oil pressure gauge how to?
I only see two pipe plugs on the 22RE for O/P. The OE switch for the idiot light and another plug between the forks of the motor mount. The sender can for a gauge won't fit in there. Are there any others hidden? Or should I bring a metal line out of there and mount it on the fender?

You can "T" off the existing sender if you want.
Otherwise a sender *will* fit in that port behind the passenger side motor mount, you've just got to get creative with the plumbing... A 45 deg fitting and a brass extension will cost you under $5.
Here's how I did mine.. I actually use two of the same senders to do oil pressure and fuel pressure. I just use a switch on the gauge to measure either one.

Ok, why didnt' I think of that. I did try the tee method and it did not hold up and it leaked and loosened. I could not find the right metric adaptor. I tried to make one with a die, did not seal up. I will keep searching. I know I can run a line for a mech. gauge but I trust that plastic tubing very far anymore. What a BF oil mess that was last time.

The fittings on the block are close to 1/8 NPT, but I believe they're actually metric. I assume yours is still in the truck, so there's no way to run a tap.. I'd do what you can to get the right adapter to 1/8 NPT (common plumbing size).
Most gauge install kits contain the right metric adapter.. I can measure the threads if can't find them online...

The last gauge kit did not. It is a weird size, I think. I would have to take out the plug to measure it. It is too cold outside right now.

Per pirate:
The typical oil sender is a 1/8 x 27.
The thread on the block is british pipe thread: 1/8 x 28 BSP
You can just run a die down the american sender, that's the easiest way to do it..Craftsman part# #9-52888.
Or you can get the right adapter, if you're going to use the spot behind the motor mount (like I did): http://www.mcmaster.com/

Thanks. I will look for an adaptor. I did the die trick, as I said. What happend is that I thinned the brass peice to much by doing that, and it snapped off in the block. It was seeping a little and I tried to snug it up and it broke. With the motor running! AHHHH... I had to run around and bail in and shut it off! BF oil mess II. BF oil mess III was accidentally firing it with the valve cover off trying to bump the starter. BF oil mess IV was the fill cap vibrating off. WTF does that happen? Can't get that MF off when you to.

F-it. For $50 i will order the sandwich adaptor. Went to check on the Blazer. Mech said to just get that and be done with it. Duh, Why didn't I think of that? "I use it as a shop tool." he says.
