Ok,

My truck as of right now has 1.5'' bj spacers and 1.5'' of lift rear shackles.

How can i lift the front end (ifs) more? i dont wanna crank my t bars. I just want another inch or even two. But i am confused on how about doing it, i know there are lower control arm drop brackets but would that alone lift it? Can some one explain the options to go with thanks

And the rear im just putting blocks to match how ever much i lift the front

wheelin- The next lift besides the BJ spacers, is a 4" drop bracket. I wouldn't crank your t-bars unless you like changing CVs all the time. Why are you trying to get it higher? And I would re think the blocks in the back, they will make it ride like poo.
I think if you just want another inch, maybe a 1"bl is a good option for you.

To answers aroc, I believe you can get a Hemi steering kit. Check yotarob build thread. I think he has them.

Ok thanks, so im guessin they dont do like smaller drop brackets? And does cranking the t bars put more strain on the cv's or less? Yeah that was my other option but i dnt like body, and it seems kinda a hastle having to compensate everything lifting your body, like in ur engine bay and shorter shifters and things.

I just need more clearance for my tires, id just like my truck to set a little higher off my tires

With spaced BJ's and cranked T-bars two things become apparent: 1) the front end bounces the tighter you get those t-bars cranked, and 2) the angle of your CV's starts getting too steep. Diff drop will help the cv angles a LOT. Heavier T-bars will help get rid of the bounce.

I'm running 1.5 bj spacers, OME T-bars and struts, and a diff drop. To get the truck level with the OME rear spring pack, I had to crank my t-bars pretty far. I added the bj spacers so I didn't have to put nearly as much tension on the springs, which was a good thing for my ride.

Forgot to mention: Bracket lifts are super spendy. If you just need a little more room, you are probably not going to be happy about how much dough the bracket costs.

Thanks. So cranking them will make it ride rougher or more "squishy" ? ha. And if i do then i would def need to etend my bump stops right ( i already need to now) ...and yes the kits are very costly

Think more like a shopping cart, vs "squishy". I added 1.5 inch BJ spacers and uncranked my tbars, better ride for sure.

Why are so many of you guys complaining about the ride quality of cranked t-bars? I have to drive PA potholed roads every day with mine and they are cranked pretty darn far (see my build thread). Doesn't ride much different then any other TRUCK that I have owned.

Still also not understanding the ones who say cranking the t-bars increase the cv angles etc etc, if the stock bump stops are in place, the cv min and max angles set from the toyota factory are absolutely no different. With spacers it is, but......

I'm just very recently running OME rear leafs, OME torsion bars, 1.5" BJ spacers for my suspension. I find the ride quality much stiffer than it was before on the old stock stuff obviously, and since the install I've found that I get a vibration at speeds above 75km/h which gets more noticeable as I go ever faster beyond that point.

The shop shimmed my rear axle some to change the pinion angle but that hasn't seemed to have resolved it. Wheel alignment is not the issue either.

Any ideas?

well this is my first post on this forum. ok i have a question and im not sure going through all this helped. i recently got an 86 PU for free and want to fix it up with new paint and tires and lift. i have a 3rd gen 4runner and have put quite a bit into it but its my DD and has to look and play good. this truck will be a play do anything truck so i dont want to put a ton of money into it. as far as i know its all stock but im wanting to run 33" 12.5. wondering what that would take and still have good flex not just the tire can turn and not rub.

thanks for any help

I have to re-paint the truck before anything. But that would solve the front problem, then just need the back, then maybe a BL.

Those steel spacers have been talked about on here before. Too many cons not enough pros on those, get the real ones from Fat Bob's, SDORI or better yet one of our mods WabFab.
