Not your typical "cam" question
So I was involved in a little fender bender a few weeks ago and I decided to have the damage fixed on my 89 runner and not let the insurance company total it. Now before I had the body work done I took the truck to an alignment shop so they could inspect it and make sure there was no significant frame/chassis damage. It turns out that the frame and stuff is fine but there is a damage "cam" in the drivers side front suspension and I need to have the cams replaced if I ever want it to track straight again.
So my question is what is this cam and how difficult is it to replace? Thanks.

The cams are used to align your vehicle. You'll find them on your lower control arms. One on the front and one on the back of the arm, on both the driver and the passenger side. I've never had to replace one, but I don't imagine it's overly difficult.
