Noisey Steering Wheel when turning after alignment 87 4Runner
After I got my 87 4Runner aligned and steering wheel straightened, the steering wheel makes a noise when turning it.
It's a hard noise to describe, but I'm guessing it's the horn contact? Is this something that could have been disrupted after a tech aligns or straightens the steerin wheel? I thought I could live with it, but it's pretty damn annoying unless you just drive it straight :) Can I adjust/repair this without taking it back to the alignment shop? It almost sounds like something is dry and just needs grease? |
The noise could very well be coming from the horn contact button and ring. It is a fairly common problem when these trucks get to this age.
YotaTech member Arlindsay1992 made a video about how to fix his 4Runner steering wheel squeak. Does this sound like your steering wheel noise? :safari: |
Yep, that's it! Thanks!!!
Just ordered some Diaelectric grease from Amazon ;) |
