no spark after rebuild

Start at the beginning.. Pull the cap, the distributor rotor should turn when cranking.
After that, check for a pulsed output at the distributor when cranking. 4 pulses per distributor rotation.
From there, it goes into the ignitor and then into the ECU.
ECU conditions the signal, it goes back to the ignitor and the ignitor grounds the coil when it's time to fire.
I believe there is a "no spark" troubleshooting procedure in the FSM.

This board, pirate, and ebay are all places to get decent ignitors. NEw, they' cost bucks.. Like around $400. Before blaming it on the ignitor, make sure you have the right output FROM the ignitor to the ECU.
Two questions:
1) Have the factory service manual?
2) Have a good voltmeter?
And you're 100% sure no spark, correct? IE - if you pull a plug, leave it connected, and ground the plug you don't have anything at the electrode?
Your "fuel" post makes me wonder if you're sure.. :-)

Double check all grounds are connected. Also a test light that checks power and ground at the same time... connects to the battery, red light for power green for ground... on the coil should be hot with ignition and pulse between power and ground when cranking. More than likely a wiring issue than a part failure. Also check ecu grounds.

im sure no spark. Ihave no electrical testing euipment but i can borrow some from a friend. Its very frustrating when you nspend all that time putting a motor together and it wont start

Going over the grounds is a good place to start... Outside of that you'll NEED electrical testing equipment to debug this problem.
It's most likely something simple..

Definately check the main ground that goes from the back of the motor to the firewall. It is easy to overlook and won't run without it. I replaced mine with heavier gauge wire.

Same thing with the ground that bolts on to the lower plenum. I believe the injectors ground to that spot.
