my 93 is like that bu tnot bad that its annoying. might try some cleaning techniques. like seafoam and such. might make a difference. how does it idle?
|
Is the engine still stock?
|
idles like poopy when its cold. trys to stail out some times it will some times it wont die out but it will come close to dieing but it wonts, . yea its stock, well headers but that should do it. when its warm some times it idles a lil high but other then that runs fine.
|
i seafomed the other moter and it help. but the manifold that it on the moter now is the one that was on the old moter. but it couldnt hurt to try it again

But when the coolant has warmed up, to about 180-190, the idle should be exactly what is says under the hood, like it says. And the timing gets set warm too. So, if it idles like crap when cold, figure out why, and whatever you do when cold, the ultimate spec requirements are set with the engine warmed up. You don't fix cold engine performance by changing anything that affects "Normal" engine performance. |
Happened to mine. Reset timing and it had more power but nothing spectacular lol

yeai know about it warming up but it seems like even at runing temp it has a huge lag. idk maybe i need a big engine, i will find a way to put a cummins 4bt 3.9 turbo in it. thanksfor all the help, i will tinker with it and see whatt helps.
thank youuu |
