NO fuel to the 22r carburetor
I need to know which fuel line is the "in" (flow from tank) to the mechanical fuel pump and which line is return( back to tank) both located under the intake manifold.
I temporary installed a hose on the right aluminum line that came from the bottom, looked like it was the fuel "in" but not 100% sure here is a pic and as always, I appreciate the help! http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/...pscm2h88kv.jpg also what is the black round can to the left? also the aluminum line on the fender without a hose "clouded in yellow", where does that line come from and when I put a hose on it, what do I connect the other end too? http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/...pstecjwapr.jpg |
See annotations. Fueling aside, you're going to have a massive vacuum leak with the MC hose open like that. Plug all the open ones!

Hard to tell, but I think those are the fuel supply and return hardlines.

OK, let me tell you how they are set on my 87. I just replaced all the 27 year old fuel line and the original filter above the tank. You have three lines traveling from the fuel tank. The two you show together are the evap line that goes directly to the canister. The other one is the return from the fuel pump. The fuel sending line that comes directly from the filter with no connections/splices after the filter comes up between the canister and the engine. Under the truck mine travels with the smaller brake line.
The evap line and return line travel together and there are two connections with rubber fuel line splices. Check these lines out. Mine were soft and rotten. There are three lines to deal with. Your year may vary. |
