NEWB/clutch/exhaust/leaks questions
 

ok yes i'm a newb.. let the flaming begin...:bowdown:

but i just recently bought a 92 yota 4x4 v6 5spd truck

i had an exhaust leak that i just got fixed(with a new pipe thru cat) and welded up exhaust pipe, looks like alot of folks put a free-flow cat on there(good for me). someone has installed a some sort of dual exhaust(it splits behind the muffler). but my question on this is does anyone else run a set up like this and if so what kind of muffler do you run, the one thats on mine is real raspy all most like a glass pack but deeper. i'm thinkin of a 3 chamber flowmaster or something similar, i'm looking for a nice deep tune.

i have a very shaky clutch and sounds like the throwout bearing is grinding some, i do most normal driving hwy and city, with sum beach and lil mud, i am leaning to a stock replacement as what i've seen on here already(wonderful site by the way) may be the way to go.

lastly - engine leaks it appears my rear main may have a slight leak to it, is this a real bear? if i have to replace the clutch should i go ahead and do this too? my starter is sticking so that will be done as well when the clutch is out.

timing belt is inline to do as well, just replaced the tranny fluids,transfer case fluids, soon to do diff's fluids. cleaned out the ''mudified'' stock replacement k&n filter.

Dunno on the exhaust question. I don't have a muffler behind my modified cat. I like how it sounds without one, it's PLENTY loud.

Yeah get a stock throwout bearing. And do the rear main while your in there, not too tough a job. And you might as well do the starter then too, it's gonna be gettin' unbolted anyway.

Thx that's pretty much what I was expecting.. This site is amazing with all the info on it, the 3.0l get a bad wrap but its still a toyota..

For the clutch GET A MARLIN CRAWLER CLUTCH! Its a stock clutch with more clamping force.

I just threw one in my truck the other week, i love it. The bearings that marlin uses are amazing. Its all OEM.
