New to the Yota Family

Hey Guys, I've been lurking around here for about a month or so, and finally decided to post something.

I just bought a 92 4Runner SR5 V6 5-speed 4x4 with 197,xxx miles on it (for $1200, SCORE!). Had a mechanic buddy check it out, didn't need a whole hell of a lot of work, just some new axles, clutch, and tranny mount. Everything else checked out okay. My only concern is my check engine light came on. The first time it threw codes 14 (ECU not getting signal from ingniter)and 25(air/fuel mixture running lean). I figured maybe some distributor wires god knocked loose or something, so I reseated all the cables and reset the light. About 200 miles later, CEL came back on. This time, it only threw code 25. Reset it again and it stayed off for about another 200-250 miles.

My questions are these. I know that a code 25 can be caused by a number of problems, but is there a "common" problem that would cause it. Secondly, if I reset the light, and it takes that long to come back, does that mean it's an intermittent problem, or does it take the ECU that long to register the code?

Thanks guys. I've already learned a crap-load from the forums, and am looking forward to learning a lot more!
