new wheels and tires, lift or not?

Please Help.....i'm gonna purchase new 15x10 AE 186 wheels soon for my '89 4runner and replacing my 33x12.5x15 tires also. i would like to go up to 35x12.5x15 tires but unsure if i should buy the 2" body lift kit to go w/my 4" IFS lift or spend the extra money for a SAS and go all suspension lift. can i trim the fenders enough to clear the 35's w/out the body lift? i need some help on my decision making.
thanks

You should be fine fitting a 35 with a 4" suspension, although it may take a bit of hammer action to make them fit perfect. Check out AH64ID's rig.

P.S. go with an 8" rim w/ 3.75 BS :D

I would save my pennies for a SAS kit. The IFS stuff will withstand the 35's for a while, but after time things will start to wear out. If you drive mainly on the street it will probably last a little longer than beating it off road. One of the main concerns is the drop-bracketry taking the beating. Just my 2 cents worth :D

I agree with design311...if you're going to wheel it, save up and SAS it. If you're only running it on the street and mild trails, stick with 33's and the lift you have now.

Do not ger 10" wheels, they will create fitment issues. If you search around you will find that toyota guys run 15x8's, and on your gen 3.75" BS. That will provide the best clearance. As far as 35's, all it takes is a little trimming and it all fits with a 4".. check out the link in my sig.

You warn not to get 10 inch wheels.. can i put on my stock sec gen 15 x 8 wheels and 32 x 11.5 BFG At? I thought I would need a wider wheel.

OEM wheels are 15x7, not 15x8. And a 10" wheel is too wife for a 11.50, IMO on any rig. My buddy ran 32's on his OEM wheels no problem, but they will like a 8" wheel better.
