New here and need a little help please!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Ian and I am the new owner of a 93 22re 4Runner. I love the truck thus far, even though the body lift needs to go and an OME 2 inch leveling lift needs to go in, but more on that later. What I am needing help with is as follows: My truck came factory with the oil pressure sender unit and the oil pressure gauge. When I bought the truck, I was told the gauge was dead and for a few days the P.O said it read L then went the opposite direction and went to the H and doesn't read anything. As I did a bit of research today before work and degreasing the engine bay, the oil pressure sender to the gauge is bad and leaking, so I have ordered a new one from Rock Auto, so that is addressed, but what I am needing is to know what color the wire is to the sender. Now it doesn't have a typical style spade connector. It looks like an electrical connector. The connector on my sender unit isn't the round type either. I need to know what color that wire is for the connector and if ANYONE has a lead on where to get a new connector with a bit of wire, or may have an extra laying around I can buy from them? I am tired of looking at the gauge and it not working. Can anyone please help!?

And AS ALWAYS! Long live Toyota!

My EWD says yellow w/blue stripe.

Is your problem that your replacement sender has a different connector than does your existing (leaking) sender?

Note that the gauge can be damaged by connecting a pressure SWITCH (for the idiot light) to it. So far, you haven't tested the gauge itself, have you?

No, I have not tested the gauge itself. But, it isn't pegged all the way to the top where its unreadable. It is just on the H, what I am needing is the actual connector, I ordered the one that looks identical to the one on the truck as far as the sending unit, I need the connector that goes on it, from the yellow with blue stripe wire. I would love to make it to the Junkyard to try and scavenge through a couple yotas, but there isn't one around here where they keep the Yotas for more than a week because they all get torn apart for parts.

Thanks! That does help a bit. I did a little more searching, I think I found the part number, 11636 or 11363 is the one I need, I forget the number but it looks like an electrical connector with 1 wire. Appreciate the help, now I need to source where to get the part from

This is why I love the Toyota group of people, everyone is willing to help either it be offering help via the forum or taking care of a fellow Toyota brother in need! I have been apart of the Honda group and they're nothing but a bunch on pompous douche bag kids wanting platinum prices for steel scrap parts.

Thank you so much for the clip Wyoming9!
