New guy: How do I tell r12 or 134a?
Trying to figure out if I am running r12 or 134a. It looks like it may have been converted looking at the low side input because it appears a 134 nozzle was installed but the high side doesn't have an adapter installed. I have pics but not sure how to post them. Help!

It's 92 extra cab dlx 4x4 22re. I have owned the truck since 1999. I think we charged the system once in that time span. I was a teenager back then and I can't remember what we did or if we did it correctly. I just cleaned out the a/c blower which was completely full of insulation and debris from mice I suspect. Air flows out of the vents but the compressor doesn't engage when the a/c button is turned on. So my first inclination is that the system needs to be charged but I want to make sure I don't fill with134
