New cam time - what will I need?
This is for my 3.0 v6 1991 Runner - Lifters? Gaskets? Pitfalls and precautions? I'm going to try and get a used cam, since this is going to be mostly a band-aid for a motor with over 200k miles...I imagine a long block is in my future anyway.
I'm just wondering what all I'll need to get ordered before I get started so I've got everything to finish.
Thanks everyone for all your help so far.

Because when the distributor seized, it shredded the teeth from the cam gear that drives it. No. I'm not looking to monkey with something for a performance mod, I just need to fix my truck.

Okay... well the lifters themselves should be fine as should most everything else. You will need to get the valves set though and that means you'd have to put it in and then measure your clearances and procure the proper shims to replace the ones you have.
