New 90; toyota owner...question about drivers window
I just bought a 1990 Toyota dlx ext cab 4wd. The window track was broken when I got it. I have the door panel off and understand the mechanical parts...I can't seem to attach the window to the regulator. I've been researching for a while now and all the diagrams I find have 2 spade shaped clips that attach the window to the regulator. Mine has no such clips... it has a metal C Channel on top of the rail with a gasket that goes inside and it looks like the glass is suppose to fit in the c channel/rubber c channel gasket, I can's seem to get it in...feels like the window will break if I press any harder. I ordered a new regulator assembly (the old one was a little bent) It doesn't have vent windows...only has a single piece. Am I missing clips???

Silicone spray and a small soft hammer be it plastic or rubber.
The fit of the glass into the channel is all that keeps it held in there.
Also know the window has to be installed in the correct place in the channel.
Worse case take it to a local glass shop and have them do the job.
