Can I put the body of my 90 Ext cab 4x4 onto a 94 ext cab 4x4???????

I have found a wrexked 94 only thing bad is the body. I think I can get it for abot 1400.00 and would like to just drop my trucks body onto it. What all would need done.

just do some research about body swapping with your motor vehicle department. sometimes the chassis is tied to the vin, so if the 94 is considered wrecked, the chassis will still be considered wrecked even with the 90 body on it.

So does that mean evrything. Can I keep the 94 dash and compnents. I guess thats pretty obvious eh. How hard of a swap is this and can it be done in say like three days.

Several factors here. The main body structure is esentially the same. But several changes were made through out the years...things like seat belts, and interior updates....that will complicate the process.

3 Days? Maybe, it depends on your skill and available tools/machinery (those bodies are heavy!)

Provided its a 5sp to 5sp or auto to auto, there will be no modifications needed.

You can keep the 94 dash stuff if you want, its all pretty much the same. You will have to keep the 94 cluster (electric speedo I belive)

Its not that hard. The interiors in our trucks are pretty damn easy to take out.

You can swap the cab with the help of 4 or 5 friends.

Heres the cool part my truck has 325K on it this one has 135K and almost a grand put into the motor just days prior to roll over. The motor is yanked out of my truck right now and is either going to get a rebuild or I will be buying a new one anyway so this is

Heres a pic of it.
