Need help with soft short b/t 7.5amp Charge fuse and Ground
In the fuse box under the hood, I have 6.75ohm continuity between the dead terminal of the 7.5amp Charge fuse socket and ground.
If I turn the key to "on", I get 12v on the live terminal. If I install the fuse with the ignition key "on", I get only 1volt potential on that circuit.
But if i start the motor, I get 13.5 volts on that circuit at idle (same as across the battery).
Is there supposed to be limited continuity between the dead terminal of that fuse and ground?
Or, do I have a soft short somewhere? If so, it's pretty soft, because the 7.5 amp fuse tolerates it fine.
If it's a short circuit, are there any "typical culprits"?
Thanks!
