This is on the water bypass outlet at the rear of the motor. whats that plastic item between the hoses. It has two tabs missing from it one hose wasnt even attached and the other broke off

Hard too see theres two small rubber hoses that were just cut off and left.they each go to a metal tube that goes down the back of the driver side firewall. Kind of look like they go to the water bypass outlet somehow

This is the top of the intake manifold. On the right side that small tube with the big nut on the bottom. there was no hose attached to it when removed. Im pretty sure its for coolant but not sure where and what it goes to

This is my first gas engine rebuild so kind of a newb. Thanks!!!
Can't wait to drive this baby for the first time

The plastic is a temp actuated vacuum valve for the evap system. TVSV I think is referred to as

Thank you so much! Trying to order parts is difficult when I dont know what they are lol

The two headed down driver side fire wall are for rear heater... You should only have a single level console and it looks like a metal tube is missing that they connect to.

Rear heater core could have been leaking and they swapped out tubes to bypass it.

Ok I see they bypassed it with the little black hose between metal tubes lol

Sorry for the bad picture I can try to get a better one tomorrow. so my best bet would probably go to a pick and pull to replace I'm guessing

Edited: I apologize I did a little research now that I know that they are heater lines and found a fix

I usually call it the "Thermal Vacuum Valve" (TVV). Here's the part number: 90925-05047 http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/...092505047.html Toyota sometimes calls it a "Bimetal Vacuum Switching Valve" (BVSV). Some on this site have repaired them, but the plastic top gets "rotten" with age and repairing it is tricky.

The vertical tube on the intake manifold connects to a water passage under the throttle body. There is another hose on the aft side of the throttle body that connects to the water bypass.

Thank you guys so much. New to this forum and it's been a great help so far!
so the other hose on the throttle body would go to the TVV hose that I was missing possibly?
