Need HELP!
 

Can anyone tell me what that metal line is for? And if the broken hose is supposed to be connected to it??

The broken hose isn't broken. It's a moisture drain for the charcoal canister. Stick that end back in the frame where you found it. That hard line looks like AC judging by where it runs through the firewall. I ripped mine out so long ago I can't be sure.

The metal line drains water out of the Cooling Unit (the box with the A/C Evaporator). The flexible line is the air input into the charcoal canister. They're fine as they are.

Hondo710: When you post to a forum like this, you want to attract someone who might know the answer to your question. Can you think of a more "attractive" title than the one you used? And do you think it would help if you told us the make/year/model/engine/body/transmission of whatever vehicle you're talking about (yes, it makes a difference; not all 2d-gen Toyota 4runners are identical).
