Ok...I gotta chime in on this.
1st off...LTRunner...incredible. Simply incredible how you took a stock rig and maximized everything you could do to it and it's coming out...BAD A$$!!!
Now the question(s) part...
Where do you find the time to do all this? More so,where do you find all the parts? Im assuming that you are getting most of your parts at a great deal, from what I have read in this thread.
What do you do for a living...NASA scientist? Hollywood attorney? Government thief(politician)?
I live a somewhat comfortable life being a musician (not saying that I have a savings account, but I get by)...I would love to find a spare rig and do something like this.
I can't even find the time to cut grass, let alone tear apart a rig and re-ro it!
Anyway...great job,great details,great pics and great thread!
Thanx for sharing!

thanks man...what you see on the 1st ferw pages was over the corase of 2 years. the only recent stuff is the SAS stuff...i got the axle mid january, so there is about 5months of work put in to it.as for prices some stuff i get from junkyards the other stuff i mostly get from marlin and trialgear. i work at a bodyshop and get paid dencent( i make $13 an hour, soon to be $15) i live in an apartment with my buddy(who also has a 1st gen runner), we split the bills and build and wheel are trucks. i have to say this build has been one step at a time now looking back seems i have travled a few miles.

"LT"...dude,you traveled many miles with this project. An it looks very rewarding I might add.
I just wish the yards around me had Yota's in em. Theirs about 20 yards within a 50 mile radius of me and not 1 has a Yota "truck or suv" in them. Incredible!
Anyways...great job and great observation of patience!

Comon man get it done already....

Need some incentive?

I did mine last sunday. It took 2 of us 18 hours start to finish...
Your axle is already built and springs on so you are ahead of the game.
It should take a lot less than that.
Just make sure you check and double check things before you cut your holes for your frame tubes for the shackles.

I vote for the 35x12.50 KM2's. ok maybe I am a bit biased...

list of the small odds and ends to finish up on the SAS:
-make weld on the brake lines brackets i made
-weld on and instaull the steering stablizer
-finish grinding off the stubs from inside the frame(whats left of the IFS towers)
-order 2 macthing new shocks(i allready measured the lenghts i need)
-and get a falt pitman arm(the stock one is very close to the leaf pack)

other than that the truck drives, rides, and perfroms amazingly
and flexs like a coil suspension...as you can see the chevys in the rear can not keep up

somethings wrong with my truck....it keeps throwing a code 51...the truck no longer has A/C (removed that years ago casue it didn't work), i just replaced the TPS with a new OE one. and i checked all fuses ,grounds, wires and swicthes....i think the ECU somehow got fudged up.

truck runs awsome again, i replaced the ECU with another one and now its runs good and throws no codes. somehow i must have short out the old one out, but whatever...moving on i got my new bilstiens in the front end, i went with the 5125's now the truck rides soooooooo nice
i made little brackets for the brakes lines, and now i'm awaiting a new pitman arm from SKY. i need one with 1/2 drop, i can't use a flat one casue of where the box is mounted now.this weekend's task is putting in the front bump stops

things to do before i have 4WD back
-gear and rebuild rear end
-make front d-shaft

never actually had it happen to me but..... you may have experienced the whole reason why they tell yea to disconnect the batt cables and junk when you weld on a vehicle....
