HONESTLY around here I think I have the best sounding Yota. I have true dual straights ( no cats have dummy plugs ) with 2 thrush turbo mufflers with 18in echo tips.

I'd take you up on that bet. You'd probably jaw drop if you heard the GSXR's on my 88'.

cut off the muffler and hollowed out my cat (was clogged anyways), basically a straight pipe with a resonator now, she sounds pretty scary when you romp on it, i love it tho!!

Since there is only 1500 miles on the new motor at that point, I certainly hope it is just condensation. If not, I may commit Toyota-side.

Got you beat. All stock, OE Equipment. Exhaust is about 3 weeks old. I got the last one that SouthEast Toyota had in stock. Yay! Really not expensive either... I was expecting a LOT more. Sounds great, nice and quiet. All i hear driving down the street is those MT's on the pavement

My cooling fan on the other hand, that thing is loud as a sumbeech

Have you ever heard dual straight pipes on a 3vz? it sounds like a dog lapping in a water bowl... ESPECIALLY if its cammed. On my set up i had doug thorley headers, 2.25 piping, no cat, and a borla turbo style muffler with a 3" tip.

and another thing... why the hell would you put an 18" tip on your truck? im definitely not a fan of the straight back exhaut, and yeah i know alot of the full size trucks have them, but damn... hella big.

by the looks of mine it's the one Toyota put on it in 1995....although it's still serviceable it looks ancient.

unfortunatly it doesn't sound like that anymore since i put the catalytic converter back on, but eventually, i'll get a high flow stamped california cat and it'll sound very close to that
