muffler on the outs

I have a pretty much stock 94 22re with an LC header. My muffler has developed a rather large hole and it is need of replacement.
What would be a good muffler to upgrade to?? I would like to pull a little bit more power out of the motor and header.
Any help would be great
thanks

LC makes a nice exhaust setup that will give you a few ponies and sounds real nice

yeah, it's two ponies tied to the sway bar...:D

but magnaflow makes a good muffler too.

i like the sound and feel of my magnaflow...
but ive heard some people like the sound of the super 40 flowmasters, and the cherrybomb mufflers...

Me too. First I saw the tailpipe was looking funny..checked it, and it had rusted thru flush with the rear of the muffler, and the muffler body is now actually peeling.

I'm going with one of the cheapies from summit..$30 muffler here I come

Go magnaflow, you'll like it.

probably any local exhaust shop, or even try your local auto parts store... they may be able to order them...

I am partial to Magnaflow.
It comes in many flavors and shapes though.

You would have to match one up to the inlet/outlet you have now.

And you do not need the shiny stainless steel ones, the aluminized ones are great, that is what I have.

Local shop cut off the stock muffler, and welded this one in its place.

cool, thanks for the info! I have never had to change out a muffler. It looks like magnaflow is going in it.

now I know it's been beat to death, but if you're gonna do the muffler, you may want to consider upsizing the pipe from the converter back to 2 or 2.25", just for a little breathing room.
