everyone sure i posted on here about a 3mpg increase by doing nothing. well i think it is due to the passive atf fluid change last year. used dexron 6. Autobox seems to bite better ie press throttle and something happens rather than a very slow response. dexron 6 is known for cleaning autobox interiors hence passive atf change. atf is a good colour and no burnt smell. will do another passive change if gunk from auto box is floating in atf.

 

If you picked up that much mpg from a fluid change, it must have been seriously overdue.

 

wow. that can't be good for the old slushbox.
