Motor Swap from 4th to 3rd

I totaled my '00 4runner a week ago My neighbor has a '92 pickup with the 3.0, which has a blown motor. He wants to swap my motor, which is the 3.4 5VZ-FE. it's seems very feasible and looks like it won't require too much modification.

I'm sure it has been done before. Any information on what is required and what problems to expect would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :-)

22r is a 4 cylinder motor, 3.0 is a v6 also known as 3vz. A 3.0 to 3.4 is feasible and is getting pretty common. Please search as there is a whole section dedicated to this kind of swap.

SEARCH BOY!!!!...and first off a '92 pickup CAN'T have both the 22RE AND the 3.0 in the same truck...at least not running lol

and again...SEARCH!!! it's rather extensive..and will cost well over $1000-$2000 not including the cost of the motor

Well that's what my neighbor said. It's definitely a V6 in the '92... I'm not good at searching so I figured someone could steer me in the right direction. I have the motor so that should save me a good bit. What's so expensive about the swap?
