motor mount torque 3vze

i'm not finding the recommended motor mount torque anywhere in the service manual. i'm looking for the torque value to apply to the mount which attaches to the block.

the FSM doesn't list all torques, but, i'd think this one would be important.

thanx

i've since talked with motor hobbyists @ work. They say just torque the bolts down real tight and let r rip.

also, there's a bolt guide in the back of the service manual which in this case recommends 67 ft-lbs according to the bolt head.

shouldn't be a problem.

I just didn't want one side of the engine to lift every time i shift gears...

yikes, live and learn...

it's not 67 ft lbs but 32 ft lbs.

the torque guide in the back of the shop manual lists this value for a 10 mm thread, NOT 14mm HEAD. I was going by the bolt head size. the torque guide references actual thread diameter.

i ended up s t r e t c h i n g two bolts that i couldn't get to even 50 ft lbs. i'm lucky they didn't shear!

it took my brother, the airline mechanic, to set me straight. for the record i'm correcting my misquote of 67 ft lbs.
