Most Recommended Rebuild Manual 22RE
 
Greetings to one and all. My 91 Toy 5 Speed 22RE have taken me places and have never
left me stranded for the time I have had it. Most and yet, best reliable. Yes, we had our rough times, but not where
I have been disappointed to where I have thoughts of selling. At the same time,
she's getting tired, LOL, sorry, that was a joke.It is time or should I say I am planning
a total Rebuild, yes,a Rebuild!! My question is, can someone out there recommend me what
is the most or should say, the best recommended rebuild manual for the 22re? Thanks!

The factory service manual is the go to book for information and pictures. There is no better resource.

Are there still working links to the FSM online anywhere? Every link I have tried is at least 5 years old and not working anymore.

Ah, sorry, for earlier 4runners and trucks. Should have mentioned that. Specifically, I have an 87 4runner, Auto transmission.

Ah gotchya. There are not any online manuals that I know of for that year. Your best bet is to search ebay for a used factory service manual. You can allso pay a small fee and log onto the Toyota TIS system and down load the engine section of the manuals. I don't know for sure though if they have them going back that far.
