marlin w56b short throw vs just replacing bushings
So just like the title says I'm trying to decide whether to get the marlin short throw kit that includes the new bushings and get the benefits of the shorter throw or just replace the bushings in my stock set up. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I put in the short throw setup to help combat the reduced shifter throw from the 2" body lift i have. I went from a really tore up stock bushing to the short throw and new shifte rbushing/seat. WOW i couldnt believe how much better it felt.. I would get the short throw now even if i didnt have the BL.. just my thought on it. very quality part all around i say. My only complaint was the extended shifter arm they sent with the kit.. was pretty beat up looking, poorly painted, and just recently the arm separated into 2 peices , the metal bottom and the top that is press fit onto it.. all rusted in side.. Gotta clean it up myself now.

One of the first things I do to all my Toyota trucks is install a new Marlin Crawler shift bushing and seat. The truck shifts a lot better but still has a really long throw.
I installed my short throw shifter in January and love it. Shifting is much more positive and the truck is more fun to drive. I have a short throw in my Mustang which made the stock shifter throw on the truck seem very long.
Like mbomberz1 my only gripe is that the shift lever came with a chip in the paint...
Luckily mine is in a spot where it is not easily seen but I still know it's there.
I vote new shifter.
