main fuse keeps blowing and i cant figure out why! help?

ok, so my truck blew its main fuse back in april, so i soldered the fuse back together with a wire, and stuck an inline fuse going to the fusebox, so if it happened again it wouldnt catch fire or burn anything out. so it was fine for months, the fuse blew once about 2 months ago, and hasnt lately. fast forward to yesterday. i was driving back from the navy recruiters office, got home, and the truck shut itself off. so i checked the fuse. the fuse had melted itself to the fuse case and in the case was a bunch of melted plastic. so i put a new fuse case on it, and started it. i shut it off, then checked it. it blew again, and again melted the fuse to the case. ive been tryin to figure out why its doing this, and i cant figure out why. i do have a new fuse box, but i dont want to put it in until i get this problem fixed. anyone have any suggestions? oh, and yesterday i did let it sit with the lights on for 2 hours (accidently), but it started right up. maybe that has somethin to do with it, maybe not. the fuse is a 30amp fuse, and hasnt blown since the middle of may. what would suddenly make it blow? maybe using the bluetooth in the cigarette lighter? i need some help!

sounds like a serious intermittent short in there somewhere. I believe that 30A fuse supplies the ECU, ignition and starting circuits.
yeah I know, generic statement. sorry, can't find my detailed diagrams.

ok.. so i think i figured out why its blowing... i checked a few grounds, and they werent very good.. so i sanded off some paint, sanded the grime off the connector, re-grounded, put a new inline fuse case and fuse in, and shes runnin like a champ. even better than before.. im still worried bout the fuse though, since i have a 30amp inline fuse in place of the 80amp glow-AM1 fuse. soon as i get some cash together im gonna get the 80 amp.. i just want to be sure to find the problem so it doesnt happen with the new fuse.

the 80, I think, is the headmofomain fuse and connects to the alternator output. if it doesn't blow with a 30 in place things are looking good

FINALLY got the new fuse in. i was expectin it to be $$$, but it was 3 bucks at vato zone. but GOD that was a PITA to replace! i finally figured out you can take the fusible link holder OUT by prying a flathead against the latch, and you just pull out! now onto the Ebrake and paint, stage 2.
