Lost Lug Key, Cant Get Wheels Off.

This weekend we went over to WabFab and had Brian install the sliders i purchased from him. We put my 29" street tires on my 4runner to save the tires and get good mileage (20MPG!!). Anyways when changing my wheels, we left my lug nut key on the end of the lug nut and drove off!! We have lost it and i cannot get the 33s back on because i dont have the key. Does anyone know if these special lugs are OEM or where i can get a new key? Here is a pic of what it looks like -

Here is a pic of how goofy my 4Runner is looking right now and a shot of the new sliders.

see if you can find a 'gatorgrip' socket. that might fit the profile of your lock lug and enable you to remove it. if you dont have the serial number for the lug key, youll have to buy a new set.

just go to a tire place. at les schwabwhere i work we break those of for free all the time. We use the special sockets for stripped off bolts, kind of like easy outs except a nut version. The lugs on the wheel are gonna be cone seat or accorn not the stock toyota ball seat lugs. The threads on the lugs are 12 x 1.5

Do what the thieves do...

Buy a cheap socket that is just a bit too small to fit over the lock. Then smack it on with a large hammer and remove the socket and lock as one piece.

the dealership will have a master key set. iam sure they would take it off for free and that way you wont have to damage them, just my thoughts.

Honda uses ball seat, Toyota uses shank seat. FYI.

You could also weld on a bolt head or a ☺☺☺☺ty extention directly to it and use a normal socket wrench/breaker bar... Not that i have done that before
